A Newly Double Bed

Hi guys,
Back again. Well this time I wanna to tell you about my newly looking double bed. Still remember the quilt that I bought during Boxing Day. Well this is the moment I want to 'dress' the bed.

First of all, I would like to thank my generous landlord, Leo who provided me master bedroom with a double bed. It was a huge different sleeping on a double bed and a single bed...hahaha. Without further delay, I would like to show to you guys the precious moment.

Well, the top layer is the mattress protector. Of course, it uses to cover the mattress. Below the mattress is the base of the bed. To cover the bed base, I will use bedwrap to cover it up.

Taaaraaaaaaa!!! It took me ages to wrap the bedwrap around the bed base. I had chosen queen size event though my bed is double bed size because the queen fitted bedwrap size suits with double bed size. I chose brown colour.

Next, I use light brown colour queen fitted bedsheet to cover up the mattress. The colour tone of the bedbase is more darker than the mattress.

Lastly, I chose a bluish quilt cover. In my perspective, the light blue of my quilt cover suited with the light brown colour of my bedsheet. I am grateful that it doesn't have a huge contrast in tone of the colour. Well done, Naguib!

BOXING DAY 2007!

On 26th December 2007 aka Boxing Day, it was a hectic, and miserable yet enjoyable and satisfaction day for me. The frustration in searching parking, franticness of shopping, and crowdedness of shoppers were the challenge I faced. The first destination I planned to go on that day is Chadstone Shopping Centre. I knew that if I departing more than 7 am, it will be hard to find a parking and is really really true. However, I managed to get one with 2 hours limit. I saw lot of cars been parked on the nature strip (on the grass). On my way to go to Myer, I saw a Highway Patrol police writes infringement notices for those cars parked on nature strip. So unlucky to those owners. Serves their right!

The picture above is the items I bought. I'll introduce them to you guys shortly. The first lucky item I bought is a Rockport shoes.

Surprisingly, I surveyed this shoes for about a month. I fell in love with this shoes since I looked at Doncaster Myer. Since then, everytime I went to Myer, I tried to glance at it. The original price was AUD 239. I am really excited when David Jones Chadstone offered 30% off. AUD 167.30!!!

Because the 2 hours limit was end, I have to rush to my car. Since i knew it gonna be hard to find a parking, I drove to Puma Factory Outlet at Keys Rd. They offered about 40% off of all items. As I browsing the shirts and pants, I bought those three items below.

I don't what is the correct term for this pant, I called it 3/4 pant.
I bought the exact pant with the same colour before in DFO Essendon. During that time, it was 30% off, today during Boxing Day, it became 40% off.
Original price: AUD 30.
After discount: AUD 18!

Next is this red Puma T-shirt. I like the simplicity of logo's design beside the Ferrari red colour.
Original price: AUD 15
After discount: AUD 9!

I attracted with the design of this T-shirt as well as the font. The head of fierce looking Cheetah make it unique compared to the others.
Original price: AUD 20
After discount: AUD 12!

Finish with PUMA, I went back to Chaddie. Still I could not get a parking inside the shopping centre. Thinking of park my car on the same spot (2 hours limit parking), I drove to there. Luckily, I got it. Thanks God!

I headed to Timberland outlet. Looking for cleaner for my suede Timberland shoes. The receptionist offered me the exact item I want. He also recommend a polisher spray.

Original price: AUD 14.95 for each item.
After 40% off: AUD 8.97!
Last nite (27th Dec 2007), I tried the product and it really works!

After that, I back to Myer. Forget to tell you guys that when I rushed to my car that morning because of the 2 hours limit was almost ended, I was queued to pay 3 trousers. Because it was a long queue, I hide those trousers inside suits wardrobe and pray it will not missing. Hahahaha....

Annnddddd I was sooo lucky, they were still there! Took them out and paid! I really satisfied with these trouser because they have the design that I preferred. It has vertical lining on it.
Total of 3 trousers: AUD 101.85...still expensive I think.

TIMEOUT!!! Went back to home and pray.

2nd HaLf TiMe!

My next target is quilt! I drove to Southland Shopping Centre. Before that, I surveyed the discount for quilt in Myer Chaddie. Unfotunately, most of them were sold and fews left. So, thinking that the quilt still available in Myer Southland, that made me to go there. And it was true!

I dreamed to have my own quilt for years. Since I studying in Australia, I don't have any quilts. Therefore, today is the day I want to buy it. Looking at the type of quilts, I noticed there were cotton, wool, polyester, duck feather, goose feather. The expensive quilt was duck and goose feather.

In the first place, I intended to buy a double bed cotton quilt brand Tontine. The price after discount around AUD 84.95. Still wondering which quilts suit with me, I asked the salesgirl-in-charge. She asked me how am I going to use the quilt. Is it for summer and winter or all year? I said all year. She suggested a wool quilt. However, when I asked her is this quilt washable, she replied NO!. Emmmm I questioned her back, what is the difference between the unwashable and the washable? She explained that the unwashable, I just get them to air dry and the washable because people intend to get sweaty when use them, that's why it is washable. Thinking that probably unwashable is convenient for me, so I chose Heritage double bed wool quilt.

To pair a quilt, so I need a quilt cover. Most of the quilt cover comes in set. The set I meant was the quilt cover together with 2 pillowcases cover. I don't dare to choose Sheridan. It is really damn expensive! Brand like Heritage, and Vue is still considerable.

After about an hour searching for quilt cover, I found that I liked the most. It is blue in colour. I am sooo attracted with it. Found a bedwrap. I took it since I know my bed base is always 'naked'.

Overall, I spend around AUD 216.85 for all those bed stuff. Pokai pokai...

Fuuuuhhhh I am soo tired! So, that's all I got for my 2007 Boxing Day shoppaholic moment. If you guys dare to count the final total of my expenses, it is my pleasure. Hehehe... In my calculation more than AUD 500...hahaha.
